Sharing at the launching ceremony, Dr. Ha Anh Duc, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, said: The project to build and update the National Management System on medical practice and examination activities contributes to the implementation of the task of building a database and management tools for medical practitioners and medical examination and treatment facilities according to the provisions of Resolution No. 71/NQ-CP of the Government dated April 1, 2025, Plan No. 02-KH/BCĐTW dated June 19, 2025 of the Central Steering Committee on Science and Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation on promoting interconnected, synchronous, fast and effective digital transformation to meet the requirements of organizing the apparatus of the political system and the provisions of Decision No. 463/QD-BYT dated March 18, 2024 of the Minister of Health approving the plan to implement the project to develop applications of data on population, identification and electronic authentication. serving the national digital transformation period 2022-2025, vision to 2030 of the Ministry of Health.

The national management system for medical practice and examination and treatment activities was developed with the goal of implementing the task of building a database and management tools for practitioners as well as medical examination and treatment facilities with 4 main features: Monitoring the entire process from training, licensing to continuous practice management; Managing medical examination and treatment facilities, from licensing to operation, adjusting information, ceasing operations; Connecting administrative procedures with the Ministry of Health 's Public Service Portal, national public services and other specialized databases, ensuring data is synchronized and interconnected between units; Providing in-depth reports and monitoring indicators on human resources, licensing status, and real-time file processing performance.

Once completed, the system will make an important contribution to State management of professional practice in particular and medical examination and treatment activities in general.

It is expected that by the end of 2025, about 850,000 medical practitioners nationwide will be centrally managed; it is expected that the citizen identification card will also serve as a practice license for each individual.
