Foreign investors return to net buying, VN-Index drops more than 42 points

On September 8, the stock market was covered in red as investors rushed to take profits, causing the VN-Index to fall sharply. In that context, foreign investors took advantage of the situation to net buy nearly 1 trillion VND, ending a streak of 6 consecutive net selling sessions. At the end of the session, the VN-Index fell 42.44 points to 1,624.53 points.

Market liquidity increased compared to yesterday's session, with total trading volume on the three exchanges reaching more than 2,154 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND58,204 billion.

Foreign investors reversed to net buy on all 3 floors over 954 billion VND, focusing on codes HPG (306.89 billion VND), SSI (287.14 billion VND), CTG (146.06 billion VND),SHB (132.03 billion VND), VPB (93.6 billion VND)...

On the contrary, the stocks that were net sold a lot in this session included GEX (102.25 billion VND), VIX (91.65 billion VND), NVL (69.94 billion VND), VCB (67.34 billion VND), PDR (59.31 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the order matching value this session increased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 49,200 billion VND.

In this session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increased by more than 0.7 points include: SJS, HPG, DXG, IMP, BMP, SVC, ANV, NKG, EVG, PTB.

On the contrary, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index by more than 19.42 points included: VCB, VPB, TCB, BID, BSR , LPB, HDB, CTG, MBB, VIB.

In terms of industry groups, this session, software stocks had a negative performance, down 1.51%, mainly fromFPT , CMG, ELC, ITD, HPT, SBD...

The group of securities stocks this session leaned towards red, with a decrease of 4.17%, mainly from codes SSI, VIX, VND, VCI, SHS, MBS, HCM, FUEVFVND, FTS, BSI... On the contrary, a few codes increased including TVB...

Real estate stocks this session were in red and decreased by 1.06%, mainly from codes BCM, KDH, SSH, NVL, KSF, VPI, NLG, DIG, TCH, SIP, IDC, CEO... On the contrary, the codes that increased included DXG, SJS, VCR, AGG, EVG, NTL, LSG, HPI, TIP, SZL...

Energy stocks this session were mostly red, down 4.41%, mainly from codes BSR, PLX, PVS, PVD, OIL, PVT, PVP, VTO, PVC, ... The increase included codes MVB...

Insurance stocks traded mainly in red and closed down 2.54%, mainly from codes BVH, PVI, BIC, VNR, MIG, PTI, BMI, PGI, ABI, PRE...

Retail stocks performed negatively, down 1.74%, mainly from MWG, PNJ, FRT, HUT, DGW, HHS, PET, HTM, CTF... On the contrary, the stocks that increased included SVC, C69, LPT, BIG...

* The Vietnamese stock market index was in red today, VNXALL-Index closed down 82.96 points (-2.88%), down to 2,797.4 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 1,969.77 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 55,174.72 billion. In the whole market, there were 61 stocks increasing in price, 55 stocks remaining unchanged and 342 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 271.57 points, down 9.1 points (-3.24%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 176.51 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND4,018.4 billion. In the whole market, there were 35 stocks increasing in price, 45 stocks remaining unchanged and 143 stocks decreasing in price.

The HNX30 index closed down 25.76 points (-4.15%) to 595.66 points. Trading volume reached over 124.68 million units, equivalent to over VND3,412.18 billion. In the whole market, there were 0 stocks increasing in price, 2 stocks remaining unchanged and 28 stocks decreasing in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 110.12 points, down 1.7 points (-1.52%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 73.41 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 1,015.94 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 78 stocks increasing in price, 84 stocks remaining unchanged and 179 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 42.44 points (-2.55%), to 1,624.53 points. Liquidity reached over 1,904.99 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND53,169.78 billion. The entire floor had 56 stocks increasing, 35 stocks remaining unchanged and 285 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 index decreased by 38.26 points (-2.07%) and stopped at 1,807.22 points. Liquidity reached more than 815.88 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 27,412.69 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 1 code increasing, 3 codes remaining unchanged and 26 codes decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are HPG (over 141.76 million units), NKG (over 43.3 million units), DXG (over 38.86 million units), EVG (over 6.49 million units), ANV (over 5.44 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase are DAT (+7%), SVC (+7%), SMC (+6.8%), TN1 (+6.71%), CLW (+6.04%).
