During a search of the suspects' residences, the police seized thousands of bags of "love charms," each containing a bottle of scented water, a charm, and instructions on how to use them, which were being prepared for sale.
The modus operandi of this group is to use numerous Facebook pages such as "Vu Hoang Thien - Thai Spirituality"; "Nguyen Thai Spirituality"; "Nguyen Phong - Thai Spirituality"… to advertise "love charms" that can attract love, make lovers or spouses obedient, and attract wealth.
According to the police, these individuals made their own colorings and flavorings, then packaged them in small glass bottles or powders to create "love potions" and sold them to hundreds of people on social media.
Many gullible people have ordered "love charms" from this group of people, paying between 250,000 and 500,000 VND for a bag of "love charms".
The police determined that this group had only been operating for a short time but had already ensnared hundreds of people in many provinces and cities across the country.
