On February 28, a source from the Thanh Hoa City People's Committee said that on February 27, Mr. Le Trong Thu - Chairman of the City People's Committee - signed a decision to temporarily suspend Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Ha - teacher at Dong Tho Primary School, Thanh Hoa City (former principal of this school).

Previously, on February 11, the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa City Police reported to the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa City Party Committee. Specifically: on February 27, 2024, Thanh Hoa City Police received Official Dispatch No. 1026 from Thanh Hoa City People's Committee, transferring the citizen's complaint along with the transfer form of the complaint from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police with the following content:

The parents of Dong Tho Primary School, Thanh Hoa City filed a complaint against Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Ha - principal of Dong Tho Primary School (as of February 2024) - for embezzling money from students' lunch money.

On June 27, 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa City Police issued a decision to prosecute the case.

On February 10, 2025, Thanh Hoa City Police issued a decision to prosecute Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Ha for "receiving bribes". At the same time, they decided to prosecute Mr. Nguyen Huu Duc for "giving bribes".
