Controlling a knife-wielding rioter on Highway 63

On the afternoon of August 16, An Bien Commune Police (An Giang Province) coordinated with other forces to promptly control an agitated man who was holding a knife and shouting in the middle of the street, obstructing traffic and threatening the safety of people.

According to initial information, at around 11:30 a.m. the same day, on National Highway 63, in Hamlet 3, An Bien Commune, Nguyen Van Giau, residing in Mong Tho Commune, Chau Thanh District (old), now Thanh Loc Commune, showed signs of agitation, continuously shouting, waving a knife on the road and surrounding areas, causing people to be afraid and not dare to travel through the area, causing local congestion.

Upon receiving the news, An Bien Commune Police quickly deployed professional measures. After several minutes of mobilizing and suppressing, the task force disarmed, restrained and brought the subject to headquarters for handling according to the law.
