The Tho Xuan Commune Youth Union presented gifts to Tran Bao Linh, a resident of Nam Hoa village, Tho Xuan commune.
Tran Bao Linh, a student at Tho Xuan Secondary School from Nam Hoa village, Tho Xuan commune, comes from a particularly difficult background. Linh is an orphan, having lost both parents, and currently lives with her elderly grandparents. She suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta, a rare genetic disease that makes her bones very brittle and prone to fractures even from minor impacts. This condition not only affects her health and daily life but also significantly impacts her studies at school.
According to Hoang Thi Phuong, Secretary of the Tho Xuan Commune Youth Union: "To promptly encourage, support, and share the difficulties with Tran Bao Linh and her family, the Tho Xuan Commune Youth Union always calls for and mobilizes social resources to support and help her family. Especially, in conjunction with the 2026 Action Month for Children and Children's Day on June 1st, the Commune Youth Union organized the presentation of meaningful and practical gifts to her; and also presented gifts to other children with similar difficult circumstances as Linh in the area."
In response to the 2026 Action Month for Children and International Children's Day on June 1st, from the beginning of May, youth union branches at all levels have intensified propaganda on the care, education , and protection of children. Along with this, they have promoted the care and protection of children and teenagers through organizing recreational activities, visiting and giving gifts to children and teenagers, and underprivileged students who excel in their studies; implementing summer activities and classes on accident and injury prevention skills for children... Notably, in Tho Long commune, to equip students with basic skills in accident and injury prevention, especially drowning prevention, the Tho Long Youth Union, in coordination with the commune police and junior high schools in the area, organized awareness sessions on drowning prevention for students. Here, the children were equipped with basic knowledge about preventing drowning, guided on how to handle situations when encountering someone in distress, and taught safety measures when playing in areas with water. The content was presented visually and vividly, helping students easily understand and remember. Beyond theory, they were also guided on rescue, first aid, and emergency response skills, thereby enhancing their ability to protect themselves and assist others when needed.
At the provincial level, during the launching ceremony of the "Summer 2026 Youth Volunteer Campaign" and in response to the 2026 Action Month for Children, the Provincial Youth Union organized the presentation of 30 gifts to disadvantaged children in Ngoc Trao commune. Simultaneously, post-launch activities included: organizing swimming lessons for children; providing training on skills and preventing school violence for students...
According to the plan, summer activities for children in 2026 will be implemented by all levels of the Youth Union from May 30th to August 31st. The Provincial Youth Union has set 8 basic targets to strive for, such as: supporting at least 15,000 disadvantaged children; striving for 100% of Youth Union and Children's Union branches to organize summer camps, skills summer camps, and summer activities for children; organizing 500 training and talent classes for children; organizing at least 50 free swimming lessons for children; mobilizing and donating 5 mobile swimming pools...
To ensure that targets are met and exceeded, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Le Ngoc Anh, emphasized: The Provincial Youth Union has been and continues to promote propaganda, mobilization, and the collection of social resources to donate gifts and scholarships to poor children and children in difficult circumstances. Along with that, it is doing a good job of promoting and mobilizing families and the entire society to join hands in caring for and protecting children; and strengthening the organization of meaningful and practical activities, playgrounds for physical education and sports , cultural and artistic events, and camps for children.
