To ensure fire safety and escape, the Provincial Police recommend that all people need to strictly manage fire and heat sources; regularly check and promptly replace damaged electrical equipment and power grids; when using gas stoves, electric stoves, irons, etc., there must be someone supervising; turn off electrical equipment when not in use.

When a fire breaks out, people need to stay calm, notify everyone and find a way to escape the fire as quickly as possible; do not use the elevator to escape; when moving, lower your body, use a wet towel or cloth to cover your mouth and nose to avoid smoke inhalation. Every household needs a fire extinguisher and a backup escape route.

Lieutenant Colonel Phan Thanh Phong, Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the Provincial Police, said that the province currently has 2,108 apartment buildings, rental service facilities, apartments, and dormitories; 2,077 rental rooms; 380 kindergartens and preschools. Hue City alone has 1,849 rental rooms... With such numbers, fire prevention and fighting work must always be put first when the risk of fire and explosion is increasingly high and dangerous as it is today.
