Recalling the contributions of the first President, founder of the Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association - Hero of Labor in the Renovation period Dang Van Than, who initiated the first renovation of the Postal sector, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said that the next 10 years and beyond will be important shifts in the second renovation of the sector.

That is the transformation from telecommunications infrastructure to digital infrastructure, from IT to digital technology, from IT application to digital transformation, from automation to intelligence, to AI, from processing limited information to processing unlimited digital data to generate new values, from individual software to digital software, from processing and assembling to making Make in Vietnam products, from the domestic market to the international market.

In that context, the three words radio, electronics and computers will continue to be associated with the Vietnam Radio and Electromagnetic Association. Electronics is associated with digitization, radio is associated with transmission, and computers are associated with information storage and processing.

The Vietnam Radio and Electronics Association is related to the entire telecommunications, information technology, and digital technology industries - the foundation and core of digital transformation and digital economic development, deciding whether Vietnam will become a prosperous and powerful developed country or not.

“Regarding radio, Vietnam must master equipment from 5G onwards, master satellites, telecommunications, and low-altitude remote sensing. Regarding electronics, it is necessary to develop an AI-based electronics industry. IoT devices and semiconductor chips will be new but essential components of Vietnam's electronics industry. Vietnam must produce servers with strong computing capacity, especially AI servers, to provide computing as a service, provide artificial intelligence as a service and as a universal service,” the Minister stated.
