New development space for the land along the Red River

The national historical and cultural relic Bao Ha Temple has been restored and expanded, creating convenience for tourists to worship and visit.

Immediately after the merger, the entire political system from commune to village urgently took action, synchronously, resolutely and responsibly. The work of organizing the apparatus, arranging staff, and stabilizing the infrastructure was carried out methodically, without interrupting administrative activities or affecting people's lives. The spirit of "right after the merger, start working on new things" spread clearly, creating an atmosphere of urgency, consensus and high determination throughout the commune.

Bao Ha Commune Public Administration Service Center has brought satisfaction to the people right from the first days. Mr. Trinh Duy Quang in Bun 2 village, Bao Ha commune, came to do the procedures for granting red books and said: People coming to the center to do the procedures felt that the local government had made efforts to serve thoughtfully and conveniently. The procedures and work operations after more than a month have met the needs of the people in the area.

According to comrade Tran Trung Kien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bao Ha commune, the spirit of "right after the merger, immediately start working on new tasks" clearly spreads among each cadre and each locality. Notably, the tasks being urgently implemented in the locality, from site clearance for key projects to administrative reform and new rural construction, all tasks are being implemented synchronously and effectively.

Merging administrative units not only streamlines the organization but also helps to centralize planning and effectively use public investment resources. On that basis, key areas such as culture, education , and health continue to achieve many positive results. According to the plan, by the end of 2025, the poverty rate of the whole commune is expected to decrease to 4.66%; more than 87% of households and 85% of villages will achieve the title of cultural; the school system will gradually meet national standards; and cultural and sports institutions will be consolidated synchronously.

With an area of over 243 km² and a population of nearly 34,000 people, Bao Ha has become the largest commune-level administrative unit in Lao Cai. Its geographical location stretches 26 km along both banks of the Red River, where railway, road and waterway traffic converge, bringing strategic advantages in urban development, tourism, agriculture, forestry and logistics. Notably, key infrastructure projects such as Bao Ha II Bridge, Red River embankment project, Cam Con-Bao Ha Industrial Cluster, Sa Pa Airport, Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong high-speed railway... are being implemented with high determination, creating an important stepping stone for local socio -economic development...

With the advantage of spiritual cultural resources, in which the relic cluster of Bao Ha temple, Co Tan An temple, Hai Co temple, Lang Luc temple... are centrally managed, creating conditions for the formation of a chain of continuous spiritual tourism along the Red River, linking cultural identity with economic-cultural development. According to the Head of the Bao Ha Relic Management and Tourism Development Board, Nguyen Van Quyen, the merger of communes has created favorable conditions for the management, preservation and promotion of the value of the relic cluster, contributing to shaping attractive continuous spiritual tourism products, connecting the Red River region. From there, building the Bao Ha spiritual tourism brand, connecting from Cam Con-Kim Son to Tan An, forming a chain of attractive products with widespread influence in the region.

The first Congress of the Bao Ha Commune Party Committee has determined the strategic vision to 2030: Developing Bao Ha into an economic-tourism-cultural center of the Red River urban axis, a dynamic locality rich in identity. To realize that goal, Bao Ha has chosen two breakthroughs: Developing tourism-services on the basis of unique cultural heritage; and synchronous investment in urban-traffic infrastructure, focusing on regional connection routes, industrial clusters, urbanization and digital transformation infrastructure...

Comrade Nguyen Anh Dung, Secretary of the Bao Ha Commune Party Committee, said: We identify this as a key stage to realize the aspiration of strong development. With the consensus of the entire political system and the people, Bao Ha will go far and become a bright spot for development in Lao Cai province.

The establishment of Bao Ha commune is not simply a change of administrative boundaries, but a comprehensive repositioning of a land rich in tradition and internal strength. From a rural area along the Red River, Bao Ha is rising to become the new center of Lao Cai province - a place that gathers identity, converges potential and spreads belief in a sustainable, civilized future and is a typical economic-cultural center of the northern midland and mountainous region.
