(NLDO) - The strong cold air that has continuously strengthened has caused the North and North Central regions to experience severe cold, with some places below 10 degrees Celsius.

Cold air causes severe cold in the North

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, early in the morning of December 7, cold air weakly affected some places in the Northeast region of the North.

On December 7, the cold air will be strengthened, continuing to affect other places in the Northeast, Northwest and North Central regions; then affecting the Central Central region and some places in the South Central region. The Northeast wind inland is strong at level 3, coastal areas at level 4-5.

The weather in the North will turn cold, from the night of December 7 to December 12, the weather in the North Central region will turn cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass in the North and North Central regions is generally from 15-18 degrees, in mountainous areas 12-14 degrees, in high mountainous areas, some places below 10 degrees.

Due to the influence of cold air, there will be scattered showers and rain in the North. From December 7 to 12, there will be showers and rain in the North and Central Central regions, with some places having heavy rain and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Weather in the regions

In Hanoi, the lowest temperature is 16-18 degrees. The highest temperature is 20-22 degrees. Cloudy, with occasional rain during the day; no rain at night. The northeast wind gradually increases to level 3. The weather turns cold.

From Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue, the lowest temperature is 18-20 degrees. The highest temperature is 23-26 degrees. Cloudy, with rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, locally heavy rain in some places. North to northwest wind level 2-3, coastal areas level 4-5. The weather in the North will turn cold from tonight. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan , the lowest temperature is 21-24 degrees. The highest temperature is 25-28 degrees, in the South, some places are over 28 degrees. Cloudy, in the North there is rain, showers, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms; in the South there is rain, moderate rain, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms. Northeast wind level 2-3. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

The lowest temperature in the South is 23-26 degrees. The highest temperature is 29-32 degrees, some places above 32 degrees. Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially in the East during the day. Northeast wind level 2-3. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.
