However, she faces a tight deadline to raise funds, possibly through player sales or finding new investors. On June 30, Lyon’s website confirmed that John Textor, the American businessman and club owner, had resigned from all management positions, including the board, after the club was relegated to Ligue 2 due to financial problems.

Michele Kang has been appointed as Lyon's President and CEO, while Michael Gerlinger has become the club's new director. With his resignation from the club's presidency, Textor hopes Lyon can soon look for another investor in the team.

However, this scenario is unlikely as the appeal deadline approaches. Lyon is also considering selling key players such as Ernest Nuamah, Corentin Tolisso, Malick Fofana, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Nemanja Matić and Jordan Veretout.
