On May 6, Hanoi University of Science and Technology informed that the third round of TSA is the last round of 2025 and will be held in 4 groups (taking place in the morning and afternoon of April 26 and 27). In the third group of this TSA round, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology Examination Council recorded 3 exam questions related to complex numbers and 1 question with a display error.
The exam committee has determined that these exam questions are all part of the "bridge set" used to balance the exam between years.
The examination board has decided not to grade and remove these exam questions from the “set of questions”. “The number of remaining exam questions in the set of questions still ensures the technical calculation of parameters for balancing the exam, ensuring fairness as well as not affecting the TSA scoring process of the exam”, a representative of the Admissions Department of Hanoi University of Science and Technology affirmed.
According to the explanation of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the common questions in both exams are used to "pull" the exam results of different rounds and groups to the same scale, ensuring fairness of all exam rounds.

Describe the test design, showing the location of the "demand" question. |
Previously, the Polytechnic University said that the TSA thinking assessment test used question response theory in calculating students' TSA scores. The scoring method was based on the difficulty level of the questions that each candidate answered, then the corresponding ability level would be estimated, then this score would be converted to a 100-point scale.
The scoring scale will be formed after the test results of the candidates after each round of the test. Based on the test results of the candidates, the scoring algorithm will determine the level of thinking of each question according to the percentage of candidates who answer that question correctly, according to the principle that the question with few candidates answering correctly will be the question with a high level of thinking, the question with many candidates answering correctly will be the question with a low level of thinking.
The scoring scale is formed according to the principle that questions with a high level of thinking will be scored high in proportion to the percentage of candidates answering correctly, and questions with a low level of thinking will be scored low in proportion to the percentage of candidates answering correctly.
In addition, to ensure fairness between exam sessions, the TSA exam of Hanoi University of Science and Technology also applies a set of standard "bridge" questions - also known as bridge questions, common questions - between exam papers to bring the exam evaluation indicators to the same scale.
This technology will ensure that candidates in different exam sessions are assessed on the same common scale, thereby ensuring fairness in results between exam sessions.
