International destinations in the East
Running along the coastal route from Hoi An to Nui Thanh, many people will be surprised by the rapid and impressive changes of this land. From a white sandy area, this place has risen to become the sea front of Quang Nam, becoming a dynamic growth area. The change began when Cua Dai Bridge and the coastal route were inaugurated in 2016, a large Eastern region has transformed strongly, bustling with many large-scale projects. This has affirmed the clear vision of generations of leaders of Quang Nam province in planning socio-economic development strategies.
Started in April 2016, Hoiana Resort is a “billion-dollar” investment project in the Eastern region, creating an international-class tourist area in Quang Nam. To date, Hoiana has completed phase I with 4 international 5-star hotels, including 1,200 luxury rooms, an 18-hole coastal golf course and a high-quality, world-class entertainment area.
In 2022-2023 alone, when tourism reopened, Hoiana welcomed a total of nearly 200,000 visitors. Despite many difficulties in the tourism industry, in the past 2 years, Hoiana still contributed a total of more than 1,000 billion VND to the state budget, being one of the province's largest tax payers.

Hoiana creates jobs for nearly 3,000 local workers, mainly from Quang Nam and Da Nang.
Since its establishment, Hoiana has coordinated and implemented more than 50 initiatives and community support programs with a total value of more than VND 28 billion. The programs cover many areas including education, health, environment, mainly supporting disadvantaged groups in the project's vicinity. In particular, it is not difficult to see that the quality of life of people in the area has grown significantly during the project's formation.

Green Transformation
The Government has approved the Quang Nam Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, creating a great impetus for Quang Nam in general and the Eastern region to continue to break through and develop.
The plan determines that by 2050, Quang Nam will be an important international tourism center, based on maximizing the value of world cultural heritages and world biosphere reserves. This orientation is of great significance to the province's tourism industry.
In strategic planning, Quang Nam has officially made green tourism a development goal of the province. Quang Nam is also the first locality in the country to issue a set of green tourism criteria. This is a pioneering direction, completely in line with the general development trend based on socio-economic forecasts of the world and Vietnam.
Climate change has had a direct impact on Vietnam's economy, with the central region and coastal areas and cities increasingly suffering from floods caused by tropical storms.
Tourism is considered a “smokeless industry”, but it still creates great pressure on the environment and needs to be strictly managed and operated. To minimize the impact on the environment, the trend of sustainable development according to environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria is increasingly strong. ESG factors, when closely combined, will optimize opportunities for businesses in the green transition period.
Hoiana focuses on the environment in its ESG practice. In 2023, Hoiana will continue to expand its solar power system with a total area of nearly 15,000 m2, expected to generate more than 2.5 million kW of electricity each year and reduce more than 3,700 tons of greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, Hoiana also has a strict process for collecting, sorting and treating waste. Some organic waste and glass bottles can be treated and pre-processed on site.
Hoiana’s wastewater is managed by a real-time quality control system. If even one discharge indicator fails to meet standards, the system will immediately send a report to the server and suspend discharge.
Not just a resort for short vacations, Hoiana aims to become a livable destination thanks to its convenient connectivity infrastructure, smart resource management system, security, safety, and sustainable green planning.
The South Hoi An area, with its ecosystem of schools, international hospitals, convention centers, and high-end shopping malls, will become a magnet for global residents. This is the tourist force that can be piloted for the “golden visa” program, including digital nomads, high-tech industry experts, senior retirees, or high-income “young retirees.” Long-term visitors will bring sustainable income and job opportunities to local people.
On its journey, Hoiana always accompanies the development of Quang Nam province, joining hands to aim for green and sustainable growth.
