Long Hai Commune organizes the program "Saturday listening to people speak"

On the morning of September 20, at the headquarters of Phuoc Thang hamlet, Long Hai commune (HCMC), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Hai commune organized the program "Saturday listening to people speak" with the participation of more than 50 people from Phuoc Binh and Phuoc Thang hamlets.

Residents of Phuoc Thang Hamlet, Long Hai Commune, Ho Chi Minh City report flooding during the rainy season due to damaged drainage systems.

The program was attended by leaders of the Party Committee, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Hai commune and representatives of a number of specialized departments and offices.

At the dialogue, after hearing information about the operation of Long Hai commune government for nearly 3 months of operating the 2-level local government model, people made a number of recommendations such as: promptly withdrawing and removing suspended planning and unfeasible planning to facilitate housing construction and land division; having policies to attract investment enterprises to create jobs for local workers.

In addition, people reported flooding during the rainy season due to the degraded drainage system, requesting that the locality promptly repair and dredge sewers to ensure life and environmental sanitation.

Representatives of Long Hai commune leaders and departments directly explained a number of opinions, and at the same time assigned specialized agencies to review and promptly handle unresolved issues, responding to the legitimate aspirations of the people.
