Giving money to support the families of fishermen who suffered accidents at sea

On October 31, at the People's Committee of Long Hai commune (HCMC), the HCMC Fisheries Association, on behalf of the Vietnam Fisheries Humanitarian Fund, presented subsidies to representatives of two fishing families residing in Long Hai commune, whose fishing boats were in distress at sea during storm No. 10 on September 29, 2025, in Quang Tri province.

Accordingly, the representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Fisheries Association presented 22 million VND from the Vietnam Fisheries Humanitarian Fund to the families of Ms. Nguyen Thi Be (residing in Tan Phuoc Hamlet, Long Hai Commune), owner of the BV 92756 TS and BV 92754 TS ships that sank, causing damage of about 5 billion VND; Ms. Quach Thi Hai Linh (residing in Phuoc Tan Hamlet, Long Hai Commune), owner of the BV 0042 TS and BV 4670 TS ships that sank, causing damage of 2.86 billion VND and the families of the 4 deceased crew members.

Ho Chi Minh City Fisheries Association and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Fisheries and Fisheries Surveillance presented support money to ship owners in distress.

Speaking at the donation ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Ton, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Fisheries Association, shared the loss of the ship owners, encouraged the two families to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives; and sent sincere condolences to the families of the deceased crew members.
