Regarding the results of the leadership and direction of the State Audit Party Committee in implementing Resolution No. 88-NQ/DU dated February 19, 2021 on "Leading the implementation of the State Audit development strategy to 2030", Deputy State Auditor General Doan Anh Tho has just said that during the past term, the State Auditor General has issued 40 legal documents and 122 management documents.

Regarding streamlining the apparatus, the State Audit Office has reduced 2 units under the State Audit Office and dissolved 12 department-level units, contributing to streamlining the apparatus while still ensuring the capacity to perform tasks.
In the coming time, the State Audit Office will continue to improve the organizational structure at the department and regional levels in the direction of streamlining and operating effectively and efficiently in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW.
Currently, the State Audit Office has nearly 2,100 employees, including about 1,900 civil servants, public employees, auditors, and nearly 200 contract workers. The number of civil servants holding auditor positions accounts for 87% and all have university degrees or higher.
Regarding training majors, civil servants trained in economics majors account for 59%, engineering majors account for 25%, and other majors account for 16% of civil servants in the entire sector.
Summarizing the audit results for the period 2020-2025 (as of January 2025), the State Audit Office has recommended handling 275,460 billion VND in finance, recommended canceling or replacing, amending and supplementing 1,054 documents with content inconsistent with legal regulations or practices to plug "loopholes", avoid loss and waste; transferred 16 cases to the police investigation agency to recommend investigation, clarification and handling of acts showing signs of violating criminal law.
