On the afternoon of October 23, a working delegation of the Steering Committee for Combating Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (IUU) of Khanh Hoa province, led by Mr. Nguyen Trong Chanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Deputy Head of the Provincial IUU Steering Committee, inspected the work of combating IUU fishing in the communes of Dai Lanh, Van Thang and Van Ninh.

In recent times, localities have focused on propaganda and mobilization of fishing vessel owners to strictly comply with regulations on fishing vessel operations and combating IUU fishing; guiding fishing vessel owners to carry out procedures to meet operating conditions; strengthening inspection, management, and fleet review work... Localities have recommended that competent authorities continue to pay attention to supporting, guiding, and creating conditions for vessels to carry out procedures to meet operating conditions; improving the quality of providing journey monitoring equipment services...

Concluding the working session, the delegation representative requested localities to continue to resolutely carry out the work of combating IUU fishing; strictly control fishing vessels at risk of not being qualified to operate; manage and review the fleet in localities; coordinate to review and request fishing vessels not to unload aquatic products at illegal piers, etc.
