Kien Giang: Dozens of officers and soldiers support storm and tornado recovery

On April 28, the Military Command of An Minh District (Kien Giang) said that a large, destructive tornado that just swept through the district caused many trees to fall and 24 houses to collapse and have their roofs blown off.

Accordingly, at around 5:30 p.m. on April 27, a tornado suddenly swept through the areas of Xeo Nhau A hamlet, Tan Thanh commune, collapsing and blowing off the roofs of 15 houses; Ngoc Thuan hamlet, Dong Hung A commune, collapsing and blowing off the roofs of 5 houses; and Hamlet 10 Bien, Thuan Hoa commune, collapsing and blowing off the roofs of 4 houses.

A large, destructive tornado that just swept through An Minh district caused 24 houses to collapse, had their roofs blown off, and many trees to fall.

Officers and soldiers of the An Minh district military force ( Kien Giang ) actively support people to overcome the consequences caused by thunderstorms and tornadoes.

Immediately after the incident, the An Minh District Military Command promptly grasped the situation, quickly reported to the Provincial Military Command, coordinated with the functional agencies of the communes to quickly arrive at the scene to rescue the people. The An Minh District Military Command mobilized nearly 40 officers, soldiers, regular forces, and mobile militia and self-defense forces to the scene to coordinate with the district and commune departments, branches, and organizations to help people collect belongings, clean up the rubble of houses, and make initial damage statistics.
