Attending the program were leaders of the Defense Command of Region 6 - Con Dao Special Zone; representatives of the Party Committee, the special zone's government and more than 150 people in difficult circumstances in Con Dao Special Zone.

Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Anh Nhut, Standing Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Con Dao Special Zone, said: "The meal of military-civilian affection" demonstrates the care and concern of local Party committees, authorities and armed forces units for families in difficult circumstances through practical and specific actions.

Comrade Nguyen Anh Nhut also requested agencies, units, and the Defense Command of Region 6 - Con Dao Special Zone to continue to maintain and expand the program in the coming time, organize it in residential areas, and become a bridge connecting local authorities, armed forces with the people; thereby contributing to strengthening the solidarity between the army and people on remote islands.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lam, Residential Area No. 8, emotionally shared: "Participating in the program, we received attention from the leaders of the special zone and the soldiers, who asked about our health and family life. The meal was not only filling but also warm, helping us to have more trust in the government and the soldiers."
