Giving gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, cadres, soldiers and students overcoming difficulties in Con Dao special zone

At the program, the Party Committee of the Party agencies of Ho Chi Minh City and accompanying units presented gifts to 75 families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services to the revolution; and awarded scholarships to 193 students who are children of cadres, soldiers and students who have overcome difficulties and are good students in the Con Dao special zone.

On the afternoon of October 30, within the framework of the journey back to the source called "Con Dao - Sacred memories" in Con Dao special zone, the Party Committee of the Party agencies of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated to organize gift giving to families of policy beneficiaries, officers and soldiers of the Defense Command of Region 6 and students who overcame difficulties to study well in Con Dao special zone. Attending the program was comrade Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City.

At the program, the Party Committee of the Party agencies of Ho Chi Minh City and accompanying units presented gifts to 75 policy families and people with revolutionary contributions, with a total value of 75 million VND; and awarded scholarships to 193 students who are children of cadres, soldiers and students who have overcome difficulties and are good students in the Con Dao special zone, each scholarship worth 1 million VND.

In addition, the accompanying units also presented 5 computers, 2 televisions to the Defense Command of Region 6 and a clean water filtration system for officers, soldiers and people in Defense Region 6; Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper presented the project with 300 national flags and 20 tuition fees for students (each worth 1 million VND).

Representatives of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party agencies and accompanying units presented televisions and computers to the Defense Command of Region 6.

On the same afternoon, the Party Committee of Party Agencies of Ho Chi Minh City held a thematic conference with the theme: "Solutions to focus on effectively implementing revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period according to Regulation No. 144-QD/TW of the Politburo ".

In the introductory report, the leaders of the Party Committees of the Party agencies of Ho Chi Minh City emphasized the special significance of implementing Regulation No. 144-QD/TW in the new context, identifying 6 core standards as the guiding principles for the actions of each cadre and Party member. He also affirmed that the good implementation of this regulation is a direct contribution to the work of Party building and rectification.

Delegates listened to key presentations from affiliated units, focusing on standards such as: "Diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality", "Patriotism, respect for the people, absolute loyalty to the Party and the Fatherland" and "Exemplary, modest, self-cultivation, lifelong learning".

Concluding the conference, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Party agencies of Ho Chi Minh City agreed on 5 key tasks, including the requirement to continue promoting the dissemination of Regulation No. 144-QD/TW in depth, concretizing standards into actions, building good models, creative ways of doing things with the motto "Respecting discipline - Promoting innovation - Setting an example from top to bottom" and strengthening inspection and supervision.

During this journey back to the source, the Party Committee of the Party Agencies of Ho Chi Minh City also organized meaningful activities such as: incense offering, flower offering, candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs at Hang Keo Martyrs Cemetery, Hang Duong Martyrs Cemetery; visiting historical sites such as Phu Hai, Phu Tuong, Phu Binh prisons, Pier 914; participating in the walking program "For a green Con Dao"...
