Ho Chi Minh City: 118 communes and wards successfully organized the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front

On the afternoon of October 23, Mr. Phung Thai Quang, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, said that up to now, 118/168 communes, wards, and special zones in Ho Chi Minh City have completed the organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Congresses at all levels, achieving 70% of the set progress. The Congresses took place in a democratic and united atmosphere, demonstrating the spirit of innovation and aiming for comprehensive development goals.

Con Dao Special Zone successfully organized the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front .

According to Mr. Phung Thai Quang, this congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels recorded three highlights. Firstly, this is the first congress held in new communes, wards and special zones after Ho Chi Minh City reorganized administrative units and operated a two-level local government model.

Second, the organization of the Congress is closely linked to social security activities, focusing on taking care of poor households, the disadvantaged, workers and students, thereby promoting the role of the Front in building great national unity.

Third, in the spirit of Directive 48 of the Secretariat, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress is held after the Party Congress at the same level, as a premise for socio-political organizations to carry out their congresses.

Mr. Phung Thai Quang, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, answered the press on the afternoon of October 23.

“Through 118 congresses held, it can be affirmed that the quality of organization has been improved, closely following the direction of the Central and City Party Committee with the motto 'Solidarity, democracy, innovation and development'. The congresses have created a vibrant atmosphere, encouraging cadres, party members, union members, association members and people towards the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress and the congresses of the City's socio-political organizations,” Mr. Phung Thai Quang added.
