The Vietnam Marine Economic Sustainable Development Forum 2025 took place in Bai Chay, Quang Ninh province, on December 12-13, coinciding with the Government's review of the first five years of implementing Resolution 26/NQ-CP on the Strategy for Sustainable Development of Vietnam's Marine Economy. The event was considered a significant milestone, contributing to guiding the next steps in the national marine economic development.

Within the framework of the forum, delegates focused on discussing groundbreaking topics reflecting new development trends in the marine economy. Key issues included: natural capital and green carbon credits, increasingly important resources in the context of a green and circular economy becoming a global requirement; the spatial orientation of Vietnam's marine economic development linked to administrative unit restructuring and adjustment; exploiting marine space from a green economy perspective; opportunities and challenges in attracting international financing for offshore wind power projects in Vietnam; and developing marine aquaculture clusters – a breakthrough solution for Vietnam's marine aquaculture.
Government leaders will attend and deliver keynote speeches at the forum, emphasizing key tasks for the coming period, aiming to effectively exploit the potential of the sea, promote sustainable development of the marine economy, and make increasingly significant contributions to national growth.
