Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Luong Bang was re-elected as Chairman of the Trade Union of the Water Resources University.

On the morning of December 12th, the Water Resources University held its 31st Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2025 term, with Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Luong Bang re-elected as the Trade Union President.

The 31st Congress of the Trade Union of the Water Resources University took place in an atmosphere of emulation to achieve accomplishments in chào mừng the Trade Union Congresses at all levels leading up to the 18th Congress of the Hanoi City Trade Union, term 2025-2030.

The 30th Congress of the Trade Union of the Water Resources University, for the period 2023-2025, has the task of summarizing and evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the 30th Congress of the University's Trade Union, for the period 2023-2025; setting forth directions and tasks for the University's Trade Union work for the term 2025-2030; and electing the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Water Resources University for the 31st term, 2025-2030.

With the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development," the Congress is tasked with assessing the situation of officials, employees, and workers throughout the university, and determining the goals, targets, directions, tasks, and solutions of the Trade Union of the Water Resources University for the 2025-2030 term.

As a result, the Executive Committee of the University's Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term was elected, consisting of the following individuals: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Luong Bang, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, Ms. Tran Thi Chi, Mr. Nguyen Thien Dung, Mr. Truong Viet Hung, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly, Ms. Bui Thi Sen, Mr. Pham Ngoc Thinh, Mr. Hoang Trong Trieu, Mr. Vu Van Trung, and Mr. Nguyen Cong Vien.

In this election, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Luong Bang was re-elected as Chairman of the Trade Union of the Water Resources University, and was also elected as a representative to attend the higher-level congress.

The assessment shows that the Trade Union of the Water Resources University has always received timely attention and guidance from the City Federation of Labor, as well as regular assistance and guidance from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , the Ministry of Education and Training, and local authorities in its development.

The school is a united collective and always receives the support and cooperation of its staff and employees in implementing the political tasks assigned by the State, Ministries, sectors, and localities. At the same time, the school consistently maintains good discipline and order, builds friendly relationships, and creates a healthy educational environment for students and learners.

Currently, the school has opened many new majors and specializations to suit the needs of learners and meet the requirements of the labor market; the training scale is reasonable, ensuring the quality of training, while stabilizing revenue to improve the living standards of staff and faculty.

The difficulty highlighted in the current period is that most trade union officials also hold professional positions, which somewhat affects their participation in organizing, implementing, and maintaining the activities and movements of the University's Trade Union.

In recent years, most universities, including the Water Resources University, have faced some difficulties in student recruitment and expanding their academic programs. In particular, traditional programs serving the fields of water resources and agriculture have struggled to attract many students.

Furthermore, the number of experienced and highly qualified leading officials continues to decrease due to retirement age. While the younger staff are well-trained, energetic, and enthusiastic, their experience is limited.

Nevertheless, during the period 2023-2025, under the direct leadership of the Party Committee and the School's Board of Directors, the guidance of the Hanoi City Federation of Labor, and with the efforts of all staff and employees, as well as the active and creative contributions of the members of the School's Trade Union Executive Committee, the Executive Committees of the Departmental Trade Unions and affiliated Trade Union Branches, the School's Trade Union successfully implemented the Resolution of the 30th School Trade Union Congress, 2023-2025.
