Globally, the price of this commodity on the London and New York exchanges on December 12, 2025, fluctuated in opposite directions.

Specifically, Robusta coffee prices on the London exchange for January 2026 delivery fell by another $15 (equivalent to 0.35%), to $4,206 per ton. The March 2026 contract also lost $31 (or 0.74%), reaching $4,107 per ton.

Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, the price of Arabica for December 2025 delivery increased by 4.65 cents (equivalent to 1.16%), reaching 405.45 cents/lb. The March 2026 contract also saw a sharp increase of 3.9 cents (or 1.05%), reaching 376.20 cents/lb.

Today, global coffee prices continued their strong upward trend on the New York exchange due to supply pressure from Brazil. According to data released on December 10th by Cecafé, Brazil's exports of all types of coffee in November reached only 3.58 million bags, a sharp decrease of 26.7% compared to the same period last year and the lowest level since 2021.

Exports of green coffee beans alone decreased by 27.1% to 3.28 million bags. Of this, arabica exports fell by 18.3%, to just over 3 million bags. Despite record robusta production, exports of this commodity continued to decline sharply by 67.9%, to only 259,323 bags, less than one-third of the November 2024 figure, due to strong domestic demand.

Finally, exports of processed coffee also fell by 21.8% to 297,120 bags in November, mainly instant coffee.

“The decline in export volumes was predictable, following last year’s record figures and due to reduced supply this year,” said Márcio Ferreira, President of Cecafé.

Meanwhile, robusta prices on the London exchange turned slightly lower due to pressure from increased supply as Vietnam enters the peak harvest season of 2025/26.

Traders say the harvest in Vietnam is gradually improving after delays caused by storms and floods.

"New coffee beans have started to enter the market, but not in large quantities yet," said a trader in Vietnam's key coffee-growing region, adding that the quality of the beans is not bad.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai - Chairman of VICOFA - stated that Vietnam's agricultural production of this product for the 2025/26 crop year is expected to increase by 10% compared to the previous crop year, remaining unchanged from previous estimates.

In Dak Lak province, the Cu M'gar area is currently buying coffee at 101,200 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the Ea H'leo and Buon Ho areas are trading at 101,100 VND/kg.

In Dak Nong (Lam Dong province), traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap are trading at 101,400 and 101,300 VND/kg respectively.

In Gia Lai province, the Chu Prong area is trading at 100,700 VND/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai are maintaining a price of 100,600 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, the price of coffee in Kon Tum (Quang Ngai province) today is being purchased at 100,600 VND/kg.
