Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Commendation to 6 students who achieved outstanding results in international subject Olympiads and international science and technology research competitions in 2025.
Expressing joy and emotion at meeting outstanding teachers and students, the Vice President emphasized that the achievements have inherited and promoted the fine tradition of valuing education and talent of our nation, "Talent is the lifeblood of the nation"; at the same time, correctly implementing the wise policies of the Party, the State and President Ho Chi Minh, considering education and training along with science and technology as top national priorities.

Acknowledging the outstanding achievements of the Education sector in 2025, the Vice President stated that in international Olympiads and science and technology competitions, the Education sector has adopted new orientations, not only participating in basic sciences but also focusing more on new technologies and engineering fields. These are crucial areas that serve the development of the country and are in line with the general trend of scientific and technological development of the era.
In these competitions, despite starting from a very low point, Vietnam has consistently ranked among the top 10 gold medal-winning nations in the world. Not only has this contributed to raising Vietnam's status as a leading educational power on the international stage, but the achievements of these students have also helped elevate Vietnam's position in the field of education and training, placing it on par with the world's leading nations and realizing the profound aspirations and sentiments of President Ho Chi Minh.
Looking ahead to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vice President shared two major goals that the country and the education sector are striving towards: By 2045, Vietnam will become a developed, high-income country; and Vietnam will be among the top 20 countries in the world with an equitable and modern education system.

Sharing his vision for double-digit growth in the coming term, the Vice President affirmed that the human factor plays a decisive role. The Party and State have issued many important policies and guidelines, such as Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development; Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; and the National Assembly has also enacted the Law on Teachers and amended many laws related to education and training... all aimed at focusing on developing human resources for the future.
In particular, advanced education and talent development are very special and unique fields aimed at creating a high-quality, talented workforce to serve specific and practical sectors for the country's development. Therefore, the Vice President requested that the education sector and localities have a systematic, balanced, and innovative approach, plan, and investment in talent development; creating a workforce in the country's future key sectors.

The Vice President emphasized that the Ministry of Education and Training, localities, schools, and families should create an environment to encourage students to love and be passionate about learning, to express their talents and passion for scientific research; and focus on identifying, nurturing, and providing in-depth training for students who win high awards in competitions so that they can truly become future talents of the country.
The Vice President expressed his hope that parents would continue to support and encourage their children to maximize their potential, live happily and contentedly with their achievements, and avoid unnecessary pressure for academic success.
Commending the achievements, accomplishments, and tireless efforts of the students over the past period, the Vice President emphasized that they have the right to be confident and proud of their achievements; to actively support and inspire other peers who are passionate about research and conquering new heights, thereby creating a generation of talented young people.
The Vice President shared that the students must be grateful to their families, teachers, and society; grasp the trends of the times, have a solid future orientation, and not only win Olympic medals but also become successful members of society. "Most importantly, you must become people who share, cooperate, and lead. The more knowledge is shared, the more it multiplies; the power of cooperation will create good products for science and society. Along with that, you should actively cultivate good character and responsibility towards your homeland, country, and community, becoming good citizens who are beneficial to society," the Vice President urged.

Responding to the remarks of the Vice President, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan stated that the Vice President's speech was not only a great source of encouragement but also an important direction for the education and training sector to continue developing and fulfilling its mission in the future.
The Ministry of Education and Training will continue to implement comprehensive educational reform solutions, focusing on identifying and nurturing talent; striving to train generations of students who are not only excellent in knowledge and skills but also imbued with traditional cultural values, national spirit, gratitude, and social responsibility.
In 2025, Vietnam had 7 delegations participating in international and regional Olympiads, with a total of 37 students. All contestants won awards, bringing home outstanding achievements for the country, including: 13 Gold Medals, 16 Silver Medals, and 8 Bronze Medals.
