Speaking at the workshop, Professor, Dr. Le Hong Ly, Chairman of the Vietnam Folk Arts Association, emphasized: “The period 1975-2025 is the period of greatest development of the Vietnam Folk Arts Association. The Association has collected and restored about 1,500 folk cultural heritages (epic poems, folk songs, festivals, performances, etc.); honored more than 700 folk artists, living humanistic treasures of ethnic groups; hosted or coordinated with localities and branches to organize many workshops; advised ministries, branches and localities on identifying folk cultural heritages to preserve and promote national cultural values...
Notably, among the intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO and 655 national intangible cultural heritages (as of June 23, 2025), there are contributions from members of the Vietnam Folk Arts Association.

Professor, Dr. Le Hong Ly delivered a keynote speech at the conference. |
The profound presentations and sharing from delegates and researchers directly involved in the source of national culture at the workshop contributed to arousing the spirit of preserving and promoting the values of folk culture and arts in the current context.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi An, senior lecturer at the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (Hanoi National University), member of the Folk Arts Association (Institute of Literature) shared: “Over the past 50 years, if we compare the country's development to a multi-colored painting, then literature and art are a color. Folk culture and arts are like colors that contribute to that multi-colored painting. In the current context of digital transformation, collectors, researchers and managers of folk culture and arts need to apply information technology and artificial intelligence as an "extension" for the process of restoring works of art and preserving cultural heritage."
