Kien Giang disciplines 224 party members

Party committees at all levels have disciplined 224 party members (154 reprimanded, 53 warned, 10 dismissed, 7 expelled). The above information was announced by the leader of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee at the Conference to summarize the inspection and supervision work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024 on the afternoon of January 23.

In 2023, through inspection, it was concluded that 858/898 party organizations and 6,108/6,381 party members in Kien Giang province had performed well the inspected content; 40 party organizations and 273 party members had not performed well the inspected content; 6 party members had violated to the extent that disciplinary action had to be taken. Party committees at all levels had disciplined 224 party members (154 reprimands, 53 warnings, 10 dismissals, 7 expulsions).

Speaking at the conference, Central Party Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the National Assembly delegation of Kien Giang province Do Thanh Binh commended and acknowledged the achievements and results that Party committees and inspection committees at all levels have achieved in the past year.

Emphasizing the tasks for 2024, comrade Do Thanh Binh requested that Party committees and inspection committees at all levels continue to be active, proactive, determined, and resolute in deploying and effectively organizing the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks; and well implemented Plan No. 178-KH/TU, dated December 19, 2023 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee directing the implementation of inspection and supervision work of Party committees in 2024.

Comrade Do Thanh Binh requested that Party committees and inspection committees at all levels continue to have a deeper and more complete understanding of the position, role and importance of Party inspection, supervision and discipline work. Inspection and supervision is one of the Party's leadership methods, an important part of the entire Party building work.

Comrade Do Thanh Binh requested Party committees and inspection committees at all levels to be more proactive and resolute in leading and directing the implementation of inspection and supervision work. Strengthen leadership, direction, and guidance to effectively implement inspection and supervision work; focus on innovating inspection and supervision methods to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

Kien Giang provincial leaders requested that inspection and supervision work focus on areas prone to violations, prominent and urgent issues in localities, agencies and units, especially the prevention and fight against corruption, negative, waste, compliance with principles of Party organization and activities, working regulations, performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, personnel work, management and use of land and minerals, etc.
