Proposal to add a high-speed railway passenger station in Xuan Hoa commune, Dong Nai

(NLDO)-On August 7, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province sent the Ministry of Construction a proposal to add a North-South high-speed railway station in Xuan Hoa commune.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, the North-South high-speed railway project has been approved by the National Assembly for investment policy.

In the approved project documents, in Dong Nai province, it is planned to arrange passenger terminals, cargo terminals, and maintenance stations including: 1 passenger terminal in the Long Thanh International Airport area; 1 cargo terminal in Quang Tien commune, Trang Bom district (old), now Trang Bom commune; 2 technical maintenance stations in Xuan Tam commune, Xuan Loc district (old), now Xuan Hoa commune and Cam Duong commune, Long Thanh district (old), now Xuan Duong commune.

Dong Nai province will arrange a passenger terminal in the Long Thanh airport area. Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has just proposed the Ministry of Construction to add a passenger terminal in Xuan Hoa commune.

Thus, with the North-South high-speed railway project section passing through Dong Nai province, 82 km long, only 1 passenger terminal will be arranged in the Long Thanh airport area.

Meanwhile, the eastern area of ​​Dong Nai province, especially the communes of Xuan Loc, Xuan Phu, Xuan Hoa, has great potential for socio-economic development, large land fund and a strategic position in connecting the province with the South Central coastal provinces through National Highway 1 and Dau Giay - Phan Thiet expressway.

Therefore, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province proposed that the Ministry of Construction consider and approve the policy of assigning the Railway Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction) to coordinate with the consulting unit to study and add 1 passenger station in Xuan Hoa commune, Dong Nai province to the dossier of the North-South high-speed railway project.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, the passenger station location in Xuan Hoa commune ensures the distance to arrange an additional passenger station according to regulations.
