In the first 6 months of 2025, the cooperative economic sector and cooperatives of Binh Phuoc province continued to develop steadily, contributing positively to local socio-economic growth. Cooperative models are increasingly diverse, linked in value chains and applying high technology, contributing to improving the lives of members and creating jobs for thousands of rural workers.
By June 2025, the province had 364 cooperatives, of which 261 were operating effectively with more than 13,500 members. In the first 6 months of the year alone, the province established 13 new cooperatives, operating mainly in the fields of agriculture - forestry, transportation services, trade and environment. Many cooperatives have gradually transformed, applying drip irrigation technology, growing vegetables in greenhouses, tracing product origin, meeting VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards and expanding exports.

In addition, links with businesses have been strengthened, with 73 cooperatives participating in the value chain, of which nearly 50 cooperatives have signed product consumption contracts with large companies such as Intersnack, Hoang Long Phat, Viet Ha..., thereby creating a driving force for sustainable development for both farmers and cooperatives.
The provincial Cooperative Union has completed 65% of the annual plan, focusing on human resource training, capital support, legal advice, communication and implementing projects to develop collective economy associated with new rural construction. At the same time, the unit also actively coordinates to organize conferences, seminars, and introduce cooperative products to the market.
Provincial Cooperative Union admits 3 new members
Besides positive results, the cooperative economic sector still has some shortcomings such as the organization of member congresses is not synchronized, some plans have not been implemented on schedule, especially at the grassroots level due to administrative adjustments.
In the last 6 months of the year, the Provincial Cooperative Union will focus on completing the remaining targets, including establishing at least 25 new cooperatives, implementing the 2023 Cooperative Law, expanding access to credit and improving the efficiency of the Cooperative Support Fund. In addition, bringing cooperative products to regional fairs, developing brands and expanding markets will be key tasks in the coming period.

The cooperative economy is increasingly asserting its role as an important pillar in rural economic development and new rural construction in Binh Phuoc. With determination and the right direction, the cooperative sector of the province promises to continue to make strong breakthroughs in the coming time.
