Previously, at 19:02 on August 11, Van Phuoc Border Control Station (Xuan Dai Border Post ) received a report from Ms. Ngo Thi Tinh (born in 1975 in Van Phuoc quarter, Xuan Dai ward) about the fishing boat PY 4086 TS, capacity 60 CV, length 14m, captain and owner Huynh Van Hung (born in 1972), with 2 crew members, was fishing in the sea of Phu My commune ( Gia Lai province) when it was sunk by a black iron ship with 3 cranes on it, moving north- south .
The accident caused the ship to sink completely, 3 fishermen fell into the sea; Mr. Hung (Captain) and Mr. Pham Hung (born in 1976) were rescued by a fishing boat at 6:30 p.m. the same day, in stable health; Mr. Tran Ngoc Thach (born in 1972) went missing.
Immediately after receiving the information, Xuan Dai Border Guard Station notified neighboring border posts and vehicles operating near the area to increase the search for the victim and coordinate to verify the vehicle causing the accident.
At 4:50 p.m. on August 12, Mr. Thach was discovered and safely rescued by the transport ship VTT 169 (Xuan Toan Trading Joint Stock Company, Ninh Binh province) captained by Mr. Hoang Van Cuong, born in 1986.
The unit contacted and instructed the victim to be brought ashore. At 7:00 p.m. the same day, Tam Quan Nam Border Guard Station (Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard) received, cared for and handed over the victim to his family; Mr. Thach's health when handed over was high blood pressure and rapid pulse.
Currently, Xuan Dai Border Guard Station continues to coordinate with other forces to verify the details of the incident, clarify the vehicle that collided, and visit and encourage the fishermen.
