The future of striker Takefusa Kubo is attracting the attention of the Spanish media.

Kubo has just changed his agency and could leave Sociedad.

According to AS , Real Sociedad is ready to let Kubo go if they receive an offer worth 60 million euros, equal to the Japanese striker's contract release fee.

Kubo's contract with Sociedad runs until 2029. Real Madrid still retain 50% ownership of Kubo. This means that if Kubo leaves for a fee of €60 million, Real Madrid will receive €30 million.

In a recent press conference, Kubo spoke about his future: “I want to stay and help the team develop. But as the coach said, you never know what can happen."

Sociedad have just had an unsuccessful season, missing out on the chance to play in the European Cup next season. This has caused economic damage to the club.

With coach Imanol Alguacil and sporting director Roberto Olabe both leaving Sociedad, Kubo's future is in doubt. Previously, Sociedad also decided to sell key midfielder Martin Zubimendi to Arsenal for a fee of 60 million euros.

During the January transfer window, Kubo turned down an attractive offer from Saudi Arabia, with a four-year contract worth 160 million euros. He affirmed his desire to play top football in Europe for a long time.

In the 2024/25 season, Kubo scored 7 goals and contributed 2 assists after 51 matches for Sociedad.
