Along with that, it is necessary to maintain discipline and order; strengthen inspection and supervision; and prevent and combat corruption, waste, and negative practices.
Strict discipline is the foundation of a clean and strong Party.

At the age of 92, Mr. Tran Van Nhan - former Deputy Chairman of the Economic and Budget Committee of the 9th National Assembly , former Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province (formerly), currently residing in Quy Nhon ward, still maintains his sharp mind and closely follows domestic and international news.
On the morning of January 20th, Mr. Nhan and his family watched very attentively the solemn opening session of the 14th National Congress of the Party, which was broadcast live on VTV1.
For him, following the Congress was not just a habit of a veteran party member, but also a way of expressing his faith and expectations in the Party's major decisions.
Following the information about the Congress and reviewing the work of Party building and rectification in previous terms, Mr. Tran Van Nhan expressed his delight at the clear changes, especially during the 13th Party Congress term. The shortcomings and weaknesses of Party committees and organizations at all levels have been frankly acknowledged and thoroughly addressed by the Central Committee.
Based on that experience, he believes that the 14th National Congress will continue to identify existing shortcomings and limitations; and propose stronger and more decisive policies and solutions to build a truly clean, strong Party capable of leading the country towards rapid and sustainable development.
"The spirit of self-criticism and criticism is no longer a formality, but is gradually becoming an inherent need for each Party organization, each cadre and Party member to self-reflect and self-correct. When the Party dares to look directly at the truth and thoroughly address shortcomings, only then will the Party truly be clean, strong, and have enough prestige to lead the country towards sustainable development," Mr. Nhan affirmed.

Sharing the same view, village elder Rơ Lan Vọng, a Party member in Ngo Le village (Ia Krêl commune), believes that the work of building and rectifying the Party during the 13th Party Congress term has left a profound mark on society.
This strictness has had a positive effect, strengthening the people's confidence in the Party's determination to clean up the apparatus.
He hoped that the 14th Party Congress would continue to uphold that spirit, not tolerating, covering up, or being lenient towards cadres and Party members who commit wrongdoings that harm the interests of the country, the people, and the prestige of the Party.
He observed: "The strict handling of errant officials, including high-ranking officials who violate Party discipline and State laws, has clearly shown the people our determination to clean up the system, with no forbidden zones and no exceptions."
Mr. Tran Duy Duc (Binh Dinh ward) believes that when the work of Party building and rectification is implemented comprehensively and decisively, people clearly feel the positive changes throughout the Party and society.
Serious wrongdoings have been brought to light, long-standing issues have been addressed, and Party discipline has been enforced more strictly. This has contributed to resolving social grievances and strengthening the people's trust in the Party.
As for Mr. Nguyen Dinh Sanh (Tuy Phuoc Bac commune), "when Party discipline is strictly upheld, and the wrongdoings of a segment of degenerate and corrupt officials and Party members are thoroughly dealt with, the people have great faith in the Party."
Based on that belief, Mr. Sanh hopes that the 14th National Congress will more clearly define policies to strengthen inspection, supervision, and control of power; prevent and combat corruption, negative practices, and waste; and gradually perfect the mechanism of "impossible, unwilling, unwilling, and unnecessary corruption," protecting the integrity of the leadership and administration.
Discipline and order are not only internal matters of the Party, but have become an important foundation for consolidating social trust and creating a premise for consensus in implementing major policies of the Party and the State.
When violations are dealt with strictly, long-standing issues are resolved definitively, and the people's trust is strengthened by concrete results that can be clearly felt in daily life. This is a pillar that needs to be maintained and enhanced in the next term.
Close to the people, connected to the people - where trust is built.
If discipline and order create the integrity and character of the Party, then being close to the people, listening to them, and engaging in dialogue with them is where trust is nurtured and sustained every day.
The people assess the competence of the government not only through official documents and resolutions, but also through how officials listen to, address, and take responsibility for the specific and practical problems of the people.

Recently, in many communes and wards across the province such as Phu My Dong, Tuy Phuoc, Canh Vinh, Binh Hiep, Vinh Quang, Bien Ho, Chu Se, Ia Ly, Pleiku, etc., local leaders have directly engaged in dialogue with the people, promptly resolving issues related to compensation, land clearance, administrative procedure reform, land, environment, social welfare, etc.
These substantive dialogues have received widespread public support and approval, affirming that dialogue is not merely a temporary solution, but is increasingly becoming a leadership method that needs to be maintained regularly, substantively, and responsibly.
According to Tran Van Phuc, Secretary of the Party Committee of Phu My Dong commune, direct dialogue helps officials understand the people better and listen to the concerns from the grassroots; many issues would be very difficult to resolve fairly and reasonably without listening to the people.
Right here in Phu My Dong commune, the implementation of the Phu My Industrial Park Project Phase 1 (covering nearly 437 hectares, with an investment of over 4,569 billion VND) by Phu My Investment Group Joint Stock Company has raised many issues of concern to the local people.

Besides agreeing with the development plan, some residents still have concerns about investing in welfare facilities to serve their lives, providing training and employment for local people; building resettlement areas and burial sites; wastewater treatment systems; as well as compensation and land clearance for affected households…
Responding promptly to these concerns, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, and local authorities organized numerous direct dialogues, explaining, clarifying, and providing satisfactory answers to the legitimate requests of the people, thereby creating high levels of unity and consensus in the project implementation process.
"When people feel respected and genuinely listened to, their trust in the public administration is strengthened," Mr. Phuc shared, expressing his hope that the 14th National Congress will continue to make decisions to build a team of officials with sufficient qualities, capabilities, and prestige, commensurate with their tasks, and truly closely connected with the people.
Expressing his expectations for the 14th National Congress, Mr. Vo Duc Thanh (Binh Dinh ward) said that officials must know how to listen to and understand the legitimate aspirations and desires of the people; know how to rely on the people, learn from the people, and be subject to the people's supervision.
Every official and Party member, especially those in leadership positions, needs to set an example in self-cultivation and training; in interacting, engaging in dialogue, and promptly and effectively resolving pressing issues at the grassroots level.
In the atmosphere of the whole country looking forward to the 14th National Congress of the Party, cadres, Party members and people of Gia Lai province place their full trust and expectation that the Party will continue to uphold its principles, steadfastly follow the chosen path; constantly self-correct and self-improve; and enhance the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations at all levels.
When discipline is strictly maintained, when officials are truly close to the people, putting the people's interests above all else, then social trust will become the most solid foundation for the Party to lead the country into a new stage of development more steadily, confidently, and to achieve greater achievements.
