A record 319 student teams registered for the 2025 Cyber ​​Security competition

(Dan Tri) - The Organizing Committee of the 2025 Cyber ​​Security Student Competition said that it has completed the registration process and is ready for the Preliminary Round, which will officially start on October 18.

According to plan, the teams participating in the Preliminary Round will compete online, monitored by images, continuously from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on October 18 (Photo: NCA).

According to statistics, there were 319 teams with 1,248 students registered to participate, coming from 34 domestic universities and colleges and 26 international schools in Japan, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore and Thailand.

Teams will conquer 21 challenges in 5 topic groups: Web Security, Reverse, Pwnable, Crypto and Forensic.

To increase the attractiveness, the exam questions are arranged with increasing difficulty, in which a special highlight is the integration of messages of the Hanoi Convention into the answers, aiming to convey the spirit of cooperation, responsibility and sustainable development in cyberspace.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Son, Head of Technology Department, National Cyber ​​Security Association, shared: “This year's competition is not only an academic playground, but also an opportunity for Vietnamese and regional students to respond to the Hanoi Convention - a symbolic document for the spirit of international cooperation in the fight against cybercrime.

Through practical and in-depth challenges, we aim to foster analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and teamwork among the next generation of cybersecurity engineers.”

To ensure transparency and fairness, the Organizing Committee requires teams to strictly follow the regulations throughout the Preliminary Round. Each contestant is only allowed to exchange test content with team members.

The 2025 Cyber ​​Security Student Competition is organized by the National Cyber ​​Security Association, under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Education and Training, aiming to discover, nurture and connect young talents in the field of cyber security.

The event is also an opportunity for Vietnamese and regional students to exchange, learn, affirm their professional capacity, and at the same time spread the image of a young, dynamic, creative and responsible generation of intellectuals in a safe and healthy cyberspace.

According to plan, the 20 best teams after the Preliminary Round will enter the Final Round, scheduled to be held on November 15.
