Following their 2-0 victory over Taiwan at home in the Rajamangala Stadium in the third matchday of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers on October 9th, the Thai national team is full of confidence despite having to play away at Taipel Municipal Stadium.

Just four minutes into the match, the away team opened the scoring when Supachok Sarachat made a perfect pass to Teerasak Poeiphimai, who rushed in to tap the ball into the net from close range, beating goalkeeper Huang Chiu-Lin.

In the 25th minute, Supachok Sarachat showcased his superb playmaking ability with a delicate through pass to Seksan Ratri, who broke free in the penalty area and finished decisively, giving his team a two-goal lead.

Just before the end of the first half, Supachok Sarachat continued to shine by scoring his own goal (45+1 minute) after a beautiful combination with captain Chanathip Songkrasin.

In the second half, less than a minute into the game, the home team unexpectedly scored a goal to reduce the deficit to 1-3 when striker Po-wei Kuo unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, the ball dribbling past goalkeeper Patiwat Khammai and going straight into the net.

However, the Thai players calmly controlled the ball in midfield, forcing the home team to constantly defend against the attacking pressure created by the visiting team.

In the 59th minute, the home team's goal was under threat as Teerasak Poeiphimai and Chanathip Songkrasin both had opportunities to shoot inside the penalty area, but fortunately, goalkeeper Huang Chiu-Lin made excellent saves to prevent a goal for his team.

However, just three minutes later, Santiphap Channgorm dribbled down the left wing before crossing the ball to Teerasak Poeiphimai, who was unmarked and finished to make it 4-1 for the home team.

The goal conceded dampened the spirits of the home team's players, and they went on to concede a fifth goal in the 76th minute, when Teerasak Poeiphimai completed his hat-trick and Supachok Sarachat also provided a hat-trick of assists.
