Record holder Do Quoc Luat participates in the race to spread the Vietnamese spirit

Runner Do Quoc Luat (holding the record of 11 consecutive national championships) and 20,000 runners will participate in the My Vietnam 2025 race, which spreads national spirit, honors historical values and conveys the message of green living - environmental protection.

Record holder Do Quoc Luat conquers My Vietnam 2025 race

On July 23, the My Vietnam 2025 race was officially launched to the public. The race will take place at the Vietnam Exhibition Center and Vinhomes Global Gate, Dong Anh, Hanoi on August 24, with the participation of more than 20,000 runners.

"That Vietnam I Am" is not just a regular marathon, but also a meaningful adventure, taking participants from the modern life of 21st century Hanoi to the more than 2,000-year-old Co Loa citadel - the capital of the Au Lac country of the ancient Vietnamese people.

The Organizing Committee signed a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Medical Trade Union on preferential discounts for union members and workers in the medical sector when participating in the tournament.

This is a rare opportunity to explore a land rich in cultural and historical traditions, where legendary stories about the crossbow, An Duong Vuong, My Chau, Trong Thuy are preserved, along with unique architectural works that have been preserved and conserved to this day such as Co Loa Communal House, Thuong Temple, Ba Chua Temple, Ngoc Well...

The race is expected to widely promote the image of Co Loa, a symbol of the creativity and technical level of the ancient Vietnamese people, becoming an attractive tourist destination, attracting domestic and foreign visitors, and associated with the Vietnam Exhibition Center, a modern project, typical of the new era, the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

This is also a national sports playground, promising to explode and spread profound values of history, culture and national spirit.

Notably, the My Vietnam 2025 race will feature record holder Do Quoc Luat. The athlete from Quang Tri became the first runner to win 11 consecutive 10km races at the national athletics championship. The Co Loa running route promises to bring champion Quoc Luat an interesting challenge.

"As a professional athlete, I am proud to participate in the "Vietnam is mine" race. With a beautiful, safe route and passing through one of the 10 most beautiful exhibitions in the world, the runners and I are honored to wear the colors of the Vietnamese flag and participate in a playground imbued with the Vietnamese spirit. All runners will wear the red flag with a yellow star to spread the Vietnamese spirit to the world," record holder Do Quoc Luat affirmed.

Spreading the Vietnamese spirit

With the theme "Fierce Vietnamese spirit", each step of the "My Vietnam" athletics tournament is a deep gratitude to the generation of fathers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people.

This event is also an opportunity for the young generation to review together the 80-year journey of building and developing the country, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and the aspiration for development of the Vietnamese people in the new era. In particular, the race will be immersed in the sacred atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Besides its heroic historical significance, My Vietnam 2025 is also proud to be a green race, committed to a sustainable lifestyle and environmental protection.

When every step becomes a heartbeat for a green future. With the technical support of the United Nations Development Programme - UNDP, through the National Plastic Action Partnership Programme in Vietnam (NPAP), every step not only contributes to health training, but also demonstrates responsibility for the green future of the planet and for a green Vietnam.

Through the race, the organizers call on the community to join hands to act for a Vietnam with a clean, safe and sustainable living environment, contributing with the international community to solve the problem of environmental pollution caused by plastic waste.

The Organizing Committee signed an agreement with the Vietnam Health Promotion Consulting Association on developing and organizing sports competitions, especially running competitions, to raise awareness about the importance of health training.

"My Vietnam 2025 Run with the theme "Fierce Vietnamese Spirit" is a vivid symbol of patriotism, national pride, youth and solidarity.

In particular, the race and experiential activities will take place at the iconic location of the Vietnam Exhibition Center, one of the 10 largest exhibition complexes in the world, and the Vinhomes Global Gate Co Loa urban area, the new gateway to Hanoi.

More than just a sporting event, My Vietnam 2025 carries a great mission, which is to promote a green, healthy and environmentally responsible lifestyle. The organizers aim to minimize plastic waste, increase green experiences, thereby spreading the message of sustainable transformation with the community, contributing to realizing the Government's commitment to zero net emissions by 2050.
