The speech at the Ceremony stated that Lai Chau Town High School was established under Decision No. 1210/QD-UBND dated September 27, 2005 of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee and officially came into operation in August 2007. In the first school year 2007-2008, the school's Party Cell was established with a total of 28 cadres, teachers and staff; 5 classes with 187 students, of which grade 11 had only 1 class (34 students), separated from Le Quy Don High School. After changing administrative boundaries, the school was renamed Lai Chau City High School. By August 2025, after implementing the 2-level local government model, the school changed its name to Chu Van An High School, according to Decision No. 2199/QD-UBND dated August 20, 2025 of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee.
After 20 years of construction and development, the school has made great strides in both scale and quality of education . In the 2025-2026 school year, the school has 56 staff, teachers and employees, including 3 managers (1 principal, 2 vice principals), 44 teachers and 9 employees. 100% of staff and teachers meet or exceed standards, including 14 masters. The whole school has 21 classes with 1,079 students, increasingly meeting the learning needs of local children. The development of the school is not only reflected in scale but also in quality. Facilities and teaching equipment are invested step by step, increasingly synchronized, effectively meeting the requirements of implementing the 2018 General Education Program.
Since its establishment, the school has had 63 excellent students at the provincial level, 32 scientific and technical research projects, the university entrance rate has increased steadily each year from 8.8% (2008) to 89.7% (2025), in which many students are valedictorians of universities.
In particular, Chu Van An High School was recognized as a school that achieved Level 2 Education Quality Accreditation and Level 1 National Standards in December 2020.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu Tien Hoa - Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training acknowledged, praised and congratulated the school for its outstanding achievements. He suggested that the school continue to improve the quality of comprehensive education, aiming to build a high-quality educational center of regional stature. Strongly innovate management work, improve the quality of staff and teachers; focus on Party development work among excellent teachers and students. Implement solutions to develop key education; actively exchange experiences, support other high schools in the province to accompany and develop together. The 20th anniversary is not only an opportunity to look back on achievements, but also a deep gratitude to generations of teachers and administrators who have devoted themselves to the cause of "cultivating people". At the same time, it creates a strong motivation for the school to continue to innovate, improve the quality of education, and aim to build a more modern, friendly and effective learning environment in the future.
