On the afternoon of October 4, Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) held a ceremony to celebrate its 40th anniversary (October 4, 1983 - October 4, 2023). Attending the ceremony were: Nguyen Khac Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee ; Ha Quoc Tri - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Tran Ngoc Thanh - Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; former leaders of the province through the periods. Also attending the ceremony were representatives of a number of agencies and units under the central ministries and branches; Khatoco's domestic and international partners; leaders and former leaders of Khatoco through the periods and more than 800 officers and employees representing more than 3,600 workers of the parent company - subsidiary company of Khanh Viet Corporation.

At the ceremony, the delegates reviewed the 40-year journey of construction and development of Khatoco. Accordingly, Phu Khanh Tobacco Specialized Company - the predecessor of Khanh Viet Corporation was established on October 4, 1983, in the context that the country had not yet overcome the severe consequences of war. From the beginning with little capital, experiencing many difficulties and challenges, with the determination, spirit of overcoming difficulties, belief, and enthusiasm of generations of cadres, leaders, and workers, over the past 40 years of building a foundation, breaking through poverty, Khatoco has had rapid development, was awarded the title of Heroic Labor Unit in the renovation period, and for many consecutive years has been in the group of large enterprises in the country.

By 2023, Khatoco's total assets are estimated to reach VND 5,980 billion; equity capital reaches VND 2,440 billion; consolidated revenue reaches VND 8,200 billion; pre-tax profit reaches VND 300 billion; total contribution to the national budget reaches VND 3,600 billion; export turnover reaches USD 50 million... Khatoco's strategic goal in the current restructuring process is to invest in in-depth development of the tobacco industry - the core and key business of the enterprise; arrange and gradually improve the production and business efficiency of the garment - fashion and livestock - leather industries, which are the traditional businesses of the unit; restructure the appropriate capital contribution ratio to create conditions for tourism service enterprises to develop because this is a strong industry, in line with the development strategy of the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan praised and congratulated the achievements that Khanh Viet Corporation has achieved in the 40-year journey of construction and development. Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan wishes: In the coming time, the collective leadership, cadres, employees and workers of Khatoco will continue to promote the tradition of the Heroic Labor Unit in the period of innovation, maintain internal solidarity, build and develop the enterprise in a sustainable and effective direction; carry out the arrangement and restructuring of industries in the direction of focusing on investing in developing core industries, with advantages, competitiveness and industries with potential and strengths in the spearhead economic sectors in the development strategy of the province; continue to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness on the basis of modern technology, streamlined and effective management and administration apparatus; promote the creative labor movement, the golden hands of workers, take good care of workers' lives, contribute to the province's implementation of social security policies, build cultural and educational works... Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan said that the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province will always support and create conditions for Khatoco in the next stage of development.

Authorized by the President, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to 2 units: Khanh Viet Corporation Office, Khatoco Packaging Printing Joint Stock Company; 6 collectives and 10 individuals of Khatoco were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Also at the ceremony, the leaders of Khanh Viet Corporation awarded the Medal "For the cause of building and developing Khanh Viet Corporation" to 11 domestic and international partners and customers who have made many contributions to the development of Khatoco.
