Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Petroleum Company Region 3

Comrade Tran Van Quan, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee presented a banner from the City People's Committee to the Petroleum Company Region 3.

On the morning of July 29, at the Vietnam-Czech Friendship Cultural Palace, the Petroleum Company Region 3 (Vietnam National Petroleum Group) held a ceremony to celebrate its 70th anniversary (July 29, 1955 - July 29, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Tran Van Quan, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee; Pham Van Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Petroleum Group.

Established on July 29, 1955, formerly known as Thuong Ly Hai Phong Petroleum Depot, Regional Petroleum Company 3 is one of the earliest units, laying the foundation for the formation and development of the Vietnam Petroleum Group. Through historical periods from the difficult resistance war, post-war reconstruction, to the period of innovation and integration, the company has constantly grown, affirming its position as the leading flag of the petroleum industry in Hai Phong city and the Northern region.

Thuong Ly Petroleum Depot is currently the heart of the company with a capacity of 53,000 m³, equipped with a modern automation system, ensuring a safe and efficient delivery process. The company also owns a pipeline system directly connected to the group's front-line warehouses with a capacity of 70 m³/hour and a widespread retail network with 59 stores spread throughout the inner city, suburbs and island districts, serving millions of customers each year.

In the coming time, the company will continue to innovate management methods, strongly apply science and technology ; improve service quality and competitiveness, build a team of "Knowledgeable - Civilized - Technology Master" officers and employees.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Tran Van Quan, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, congratulated the achievements of the Petroleum Company Region 3 over the past 70 years, affirming that it is the leading flag of the petroleum industry nationwide, making great contributions to the economic development of Hai Phong city.

Faced with the new requirements of the energy transition trend as well as the volatile global economic and geopolitical context, the company needs to continue to accompany the city, maintain and fully implement legal regulations in the petroleum business, modernize petroleum retail stores. Focus on research, survey, investment, and development of the distribution system, especially in remote and difficult areas.

Expanding storage and supply to meet the city's socio-economic development needs in the coming time; ensuring sustainable development, harmony between business and society, environment, protecting consumer rights, and customer care.

Delegates perform the ceremony of joining hands to build the Regional Petroleum Company 3.

Comrade Tran Van Quan suggested that the company continue to accompany the city, actively support and participate in social security work, build new rural areas, reduce poverty, and pay attention to job creation for local workers. Hai Phong City is committed to always accompanying the enterprise, creating the best conditions for the company to develop, especially expanding the network of retail gasoline stores, contributing to the development of the local economy and society.

On this occasion, the Petroleum Company of Region 3 was presented with a banner with the words: "Solidarity - Innovation - Creativity - Development" by the City People's Committee.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee awarded 1 collective and 4 individuals who have contributed to the company's development on the occasion of its 70th anniversary.
