The 2023 high school graduation exam will be held from June 27 to 30.

(BLC) - According to information from the Departmentof Education and Training, the 2023 High School Graduation Exam will be held on June 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2023. Of which, June 27 will be the exam registration day; June 28 and 29 will be the exam invigilation day, and June 30 will be the backup exam day.

The whole province has 3,838 candidates registered for the exam (an increase of 164 candidates compared to 2022), of which: 1,077 candidates took the exam for graduation; 2,553 candidates took the exam for graduation and university admission; 209 candidates who graduated from high school took the exam for university admission results. High school education: 3,442 candidates; continuing education: 174 candidates; independent candidates: 222 candidates. Number of candidates registered for the exam: Literature exam: 3,796 candidates, Math: 3,689 candidates, Foreign language: 3,455 candidates (English: 3,454, Chinese: 1); Natural science exam: 744 candidates, Social science exam: 3,087 candidates.

Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Examinations inspected the preparations for the 2023 High School Graduation Exam in Than Uyen district.

Lai Chau province has 1 Examination Council; 21 examination sites, 212 examination rooms (an increase of 9 rooms compared to 2022); 1 combined examination room (Foreign Language Test: English, Chinese); 20 examination waiting rooms, 21 spare examination rooms.

Currently, the examination sites have fully prepared facilities and equipment for the examination: examination rooms, offices, examination paper storage rooms. Plans to install surveillance camera systems at examination sites and examination marking locations. Ensure payment of examination regimes and working expenses for staff participating in the stages of the examination according to regulations; ensure funding for purchasing equipment, stationery, and publications for the examination.

Some new points about the Exam Regulations:

This year's high school graduation exam has some new points mainly in the Graduation Exam Regulations issued with Circular 06/2023/TT-BGDDT, dated March 24, 2023 of the Ministry of Education and Training, effective from May 9, 2023, specifically as follows:

Exam dates: June 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2023 (last year July 7, 8, 9 and 10, 2022)

Registration:

- Candidates who are grade 12 students in the 2022-2023 school year register to take the exam online through an account with the CCCD/ID number or identification code.

- Independent candidates register for the exam directly at the registration points (according to the form); submit a photo file (or 02 4x6 photos in case of direct registration) in the form of a citizen ID card, taken no more than 06 months before the application submission time.

- No need to submit permanent residence registration (determined by identification according to citizen identification card).

- Amend and supplement point c, clause 4, Article 13 as follows:

“The principal of the high school or the head of the unit where the exam is registered is responsible for guiding the candidates to register; reviewing and updating the information of the candidates registering for the exam for the subjects specified in Point a, Clause 1, Article 12 of this Regulation; entering the information of the candidates registering for the exam for the subjects specified in Point b, c, Clause 1, Article 12 of this Regulation; organizing the review of the exam registration dossiers and publicly announcing the cases that do not meet the conditions for taking the exam specified in Clause 2, Article 12 of this Regulation no later than 15 days before the exam date; collecting the exam registration forms; managing the exam registration dossiers and transferring the exam registration dossiers and data to the Department of Education and Training;”

About the exam organization:

- Add the Ministry of Health and members of the National Graduation Exam Steering Committee.

- Items allowed to be brought into the examination room: Amend and supplement point m, clause 4, Article 14 as follows: "Only allowed to bring into the examination room: Pens, pencils, compasses, erasers, rulers, calculators; pocket calculators without text editing function, no memory card; Vietnam Geography Atlas for the Geography exam".

- Witness and sign to confirm the contents of the Examination Council's Committees that do not require inspection, and transfer these tasks to the officers supervising the Examination Council's Committees.

- Abolish Article 14. Candidates' responsibilities, Clause 4. Point n

“Prohibited from bringing into the examination room: Carbon paper, erasers, alcoholic beverages; weapons and explosives, flammable substances; documents, communication devices or information storage devices that can be used to cheat during the examination and marking process”.
