The conference aims to effectively implement the targets, tasks and solutions of the Resolutions and plans of the Central and the province on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation. Within the framework of the series of events from May 24-25, there will be many rich and practical contents with high spreading potential such as: seminars and conferences with the participation of experts in the fields of e-commerce and digital technology; Exhibition of digital technology models and regional typical products with 50 booths; organizing a Mega Livestream session directly through the Tiktopshop platform. The notable highlights of the event are training and coaching activities associated with practice for cooperatives, business households, young startups and Livestream sessions promoting highland products, connecting directly with consumers across the country through digital platforms. In addition to digital transformation activities in e-commerce and e-commerce applications on digital platforms, the event series is also associated with typical local cultural and tourism activities such as the 2nd Tan Uyen Tea Festival, a tour of tea growing areas, unique tourist destinations and typical agricultural processing facilities.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Comrade Le Hoang Oanh - Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized: Through this series of activities, the Ministry of Industry and Trade wishes to accompany the provinces to promote the model of "each specialty product is a digital brand", contributing to job creation, income increase, sustainable economic development and spreading indigenous cultural values.

At the same time, he requested businesses in the province to join hands with State agencies; take advantage of available advantages and potentials; grasp new development trends of e-commerce to develop brands and do business effectively. From there, join hands to promote regional linkages in developing e-commerce in Lai Chau and the provinces of the Northern Midlands and Mountains.

At the Conference, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on supporting e-commerce applications was signed between the Departments of Industry and Trade of Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Thai Nguyen provinces and enterprises in the Northern Midlands and Mountains under the witness of leaders. The signing is a testament to the commitment to accompany and closely cooperate between state management agencies, enterprises and localities in promoting the strong and sustainable development of e-commerce in the Northern Midlands and Mountains.
