“Many teachers and officials in the education sector have sacrificed their personal lives for the common good. There are comrades who were working on exam papers but could not return home when their fathers passed away. There are officials and teachers who were working as exam supervisors but could not return home for the funeral when they heard the news of their relatives’ deaths.
That is a great sacrifice and responsibility for the industry and for our beloved students," said Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong.

Mr. Cuong also said that at this time, the exam received many compliments from the community and public opinion. It can be said that the exam received timely, responsible participation and smooth coordination from the entire political system. The examination sites have arranged facilities, food, and milk ready to serve candidates to ensure their health when taking the exam. There are gentle and thoughtful concerns such as rewarding candidates who return early, giving flowers, clapping, and wishing them a happy birthday, creating a beautiful image of the exam.
What is particularly noteworthy in this year's exam is the studious spirit of the students in the capital. There were 12 students with broken arms and legs who were being treated for illness but still tried to take the exam. There was a student who had to have an appendectomy after finishing his Foreign Language exam but still determined to try to finish his Math exam this morning.
Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong also emphasized: "Up to this point, the organization of the exam has been successful, but there is still much work to be completed such as grading, announcing scores, and benchmark scores. This year, the Hanoi Department of Education plans to announce the benchmark scores and exam scores at the same time, from July 4-6. This is a difficult task, but we are determined to do it well and carefully. After marking, the Board of Examiners will select the exam papers to re-mark and cross-mark, ensuring fairness for all candidates. |
Exams no longer have room for memorization
Also at the conference to inform about the results of the 10th grade entrance exam, teachers from schools shared their opinions about this year's exam.

According to Ms. Lam Kieu Ninh - Literature teacher at Dong Da Secondary School: This is the first time the exam does not use textbook materials. Not only teachers breathed a sigh of relief, but the candidates were also happy and excited. This is the success of this year's exam. The Literature exam both evoked emotions and thoughts, and oriented students' life values.
“In addition, the test is designed to classify students from easy to difficult. Almost all students can answer the recognition and comprehension questions. Application questions require students to think, analyze and relate to reality.
Social argumentation questions assess students' thinking and evaluation abilities. With materials outside of textbooks, this year's exam no longer relies on sample essays and memorization," Ms. Lam Kieu Ninh shared.
Meanwhile, evaluating the Math exam, Mr. Trinh Hoai Duong - teacher at Giang Vo 2 Secondary School said: "The exam closely follows the program, closely follows the format structure, ensures the 2018 General Education program, ensures student classification, and is suitable for the nature of the exam."
Sharing this opinion, a teacher of the Math group of the HOCMAI Education System commented: "The Math exam for grade 10 high school entrance in the 2025-2026 school year of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training clearly shows the direction of innovation in testing and assessment according to the new program, focusing on developing capacity, connecting with practice, ensuring differentiation and fairness in enrollment.
This is a test that is both in-depth and has a clear educational orientation, contributing to improving the quality of teaching Math at secondary school level, and is also a reliable basis for high schools to select suitable students.
It can be said that this year's 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi is a clear picture reflecting the innovation and creativity, shifting from imparting knowledge to developing learners' capacity.
At the conference, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training introduced digital maps for the exam. Accordingly, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has applied information technology to build a digital map of exam scores, helping to coordinate the transportation of exam papers, assign staff, teachers, etc. conveniently. The Department will apply digital maps in the upcoming high school graduation exam. Accordingly, each exam location will have a navigation application to help candidates get to the right exam location.
