Famous Vietnamese doctor, from Bac Ninh

The new Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hanoi Medical University is Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh, Director of the Central Maternity Hospital.

Recently, at the Central Maternity Hospital, a ceremony was held to announce the resolution and decision to appoint Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh, Director of the Central Maternity Hospital, concurrently holding the position of Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Hanoi Medical University.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh was born in 1966, from Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh . He graduated as a doctor in 1990, then became a lecturer at Hanoi Medical University. In 1998, Dr. Anh transferred to work at Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital.

He is the youngest doctor to hold the leadership position as Deputy Director of Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, then continued to be trusted by the organization and promoted to the position of Hospital Director. He and the hospital leadership team overcame all difficulties, leading Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital to develop significantly in terms of expertise and quality of medical services.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh was an Emulation Fighter of Hanoi City in 2012 and 2016. He was awarded the title of People's Physician by the State in 2017. In 2018, he was honored as an excellent citizen of the Capital. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh also received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and the 3rd Class Labor Medal.

In January 2024, the Ministry of Health announced the decision to transfer and appoint Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh as Director of the Central Obstetrics Hospital. Previously, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh held the position of Director of Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital. Prof. Anh has 20 years of leadership, making Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital one of the final surgical hospitals in Hanoi, with many highly specialized techniques.
