Lam Dong starts construction of National Historical Relic Site project...

On October 7, the People's Committee of Dong Gia Nghia Ward (Lam Dong) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the National Historical Relic Site project - the location to connect and open the Ho Chi Minh Trail (section from the Central Highlands to the Southeast).

The project was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1384 dated October 20, 2018 and approved by the People's Committee of Dak Nong province in Decision No. 1838 dated November 2, 2021. After implementing the 2-level local government model, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province assigned the People's Committee of Dong Gia Nghia ward as the investor. The project has a total investment of more than 62 billion VND, from the local budget and other legal sources.

The project is implemented on a scale including: Exhibition House, Administration House, Square and flower garden, Memorial stele house, Mango root relic milestone marking area.

The construction unit is a joint venture between Trung Hoa Construction One Member Co., Ltd. and Nam Viet Dak Nong Co., Ltd. Phase 1 of the project started on July 20, 2023; Phase 2 of the project will complete the remaining items, and the entire project is expected to be completed in 2027.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi affirmed that the National Historical Relic Site - the location of the contact and opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail was ranked as a Special National Historical Relic by the Prime Minister according to Decision No. 2383 dated December 9, 2013, marking an important historical event in the process of opening the Ho Chi Minh Trail - the strategic north-south artery, contributing greatly to the great victory of our nation in the resistance war against the US to save the country.

This place has become a symbol of the heroic fighting spirit, indomitable will and absolute loyalty of cadres, soldiers and people of all ethnic groups who sacrificed their youth and blood to protect and build the legendary Truong Son-Ho Chi Minh route.

The project of the National Historical Site - the place to establish contact and open the Ho Chi Minh trail is not only a construction project, but also a project to pay tribute and educate traditions, expressing deep gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. This is also a red address to educate revolutionary traditions, combined with the development of cultural tourism, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality...
