Search efforts underway for missing fishermen after fishing boat sinks in Hue

On the evening of October 7, Hue City rescue forces are trying to search for a fisherman missing at sea after his fishing boat sank after colliding with a cargo ship.

Initial information, on the afternoon of October 7, cargo ship Thuan Trung 08 on its journey from South to North, when reaching the area near Thuan An estuary ( Hue City) collided with fishing boat TTH 9...-TS with 4 fishermen on board.

The strong collision caused the fishing boat to sink, all four fishermen on board fell into the sea.

Currently, 3 fishermen have been rescued by Thuan Trung 08 ship, the remaining fisherman has not been found yet.

Relatives are waiting for fishermen on a missing fishing boat near Thuan An estuary.

The Thua Thien Hue Maritime Port Authority directed the Thuan Trung 08 ship to remain at the scene to continue searching for the missing fishermen. At the same time, it requested the Hue Coastal Information Station to broadcast a distress message so that vehicles operating near the sunken fishing boat area could increase vigilance and assist in searching for the victims.

Upon receiving the information, the military quickly dispatched patrol boats to the scene to join the search for the missing fishermen.
