There are a total of 42 large landslides with a total volume of about 104,530m ³ of rock and soil and 100 fallen trees, of which 19 points are completely blocked. There are sections where hundreds of tons of rock and soil rolled down, blocking the way, making it impossible for the maintenance unit to access the above points. The Provincial People's Committee has asked Military Region 5 and the Provincial Military Command to support rock blasting, but it is currently very slow because after destroying one point, workers must come up and clean it up before destroying another point. In addition, there are many rocks and soil on the cliffs of the pass, while the weather is still unpredictable, storm No. 15 is at risk of making landfall in Khanh Hoa. Although the company has mobilized all its forces and means day and night to overcome the situation, it is still not possible to predict the exact time when one lane will be opened to traffic on this route.

Currently, the authorities have closed the road to ensure safety, only allowing specialized vehicles to repair the road to pass. Present at Khanh Le Pass to direct the work of overcoming the consequences, Comrade Le Huyen - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the design consultant unit to closely monitor the work; the Department of Construction sent people to landslide sites to grasp the situation, report and update to the Provincial People's Committee, in which attention was paid to regulating the immediate and long-term remediation. The Provincial People's Committee also issued a decision to declare a natural disaster emergency to overcome the damage to the traffic infrastructure.
