Lam Dong province enhances its capacity in foreign affairs.

On the morning of May 29th, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Lam Dong province organized a training course on foreign non-governmental organization work for 2026.

At the program, delegates were briefed on new government regulations regarding the registration and management of foreign non-governmental organizations in Vietnam; the management and use of non-refundable aid not classified as official development assistance from foreign agencies, organizations, and individuals to Vietnam, etc.

The conference also disseminated Decision No. 2936/QD-UBND dated December 31, 2025, of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, promulgating the Program for promoting and mobilizing foreign non-governmental aid in Lam Dong province for the period 2026 - 2030.

The program identifies priority areas for aid mobilization, including: poverty reduction, education , health, environmental protection, climate change adaptation, livelihood development, support for vulnerable groups, and community development.

Deputy Director of the Lam Dong Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs, Tran Thanh Hoai, delivered the opening remarks for the program.

Besides updating new regulations, the training course also included time for exchanging and discussing practical situations; guiding the process of developing, receiving, and managing aid programs and projects; and answering questions and addressing difficulties and obstacles faced by localities and units during implementation.

The training course aims to update participants on new regulations from the central government and Lam Dong province regarding the management, mobilization, reception, and utilization of foreign non-governmental aid; and to enhance the capacity of officials working in foreign affairs, international cooperation, and aid mobilization.
