Lam Dong implements Infrastructure Improvement Project to develop agriculture The Ministry of Finance requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct the project owner to implement and use loan capital from JICA for the right purpose, in accordance with regulations, ensuring efficiency and progress according to the direction of the Prime Minister.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just assigned the Provincial Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board (project owner) to preside over and coordinate with Da Lat City People's Committee and localities to implement the Infrastructure Improvement Project to develop agriculture in Lam Dong province; use loan capital for the right purpose, in accordance with regulations, ensuring efficiency and progress according to the direction of the Prime Minister in Decision No. 483/QD-TTg dated May 8, 2023.

The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Finance to coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment and project owners to carry out procedures to pay the project's capital arrangement fee (0.2% of the loan amount) in accordance with regulations.

Previously, on February 26, 2024, the Ministry of Finance issued Official Dispatch No. 1966/BTC-QLN to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, stating that regarding Loan Agreement No. VN 19-P2 signed on July 5, 2023 for the Project on Improving Infrastructure for Agricultural Development in Lam Dong Province (Phase 1) using loan capital from the Government of Japan, the Ministry of Finance received Letter No. VN 19-P2/E-001 dated February 22, 2024 from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) notifying that the above Loan Agreement has taken effect from February 21, 2024.

The Ministry of Finance notifies the People's Committee of Lam Dong province as above and attaches the JICA's Letter of Effectiveness. The Ministry of Finance requests the Provincial People's Committee to direct the project owner to implement and use the loan capital for the right purpose, in accordance with regulations, ensuring efficiency and progress according to the direction of the Prime Minister in Decision No. 483/QD-TTg dated May 8, 2023; at the same time, carry out procedures to pay the project's Capital Arrangement Fee (0.2% of the loan amount) within 60 days from the effective date of the Loan Agreement.
