Keeping in touch with friends, family and loved ones has become easier, more convenient and faster thanks to smart mobile phones.
However, for some reason, someone else has blocked your phone number. The article below will share with you how to know if someone has blocked your phone number.
How to know if someone blocked your phone number? (Illustration).
Abnormal notification when calling
If you call them 2 or 3 times a day and get the same message, chances are your phone number is blocked.
Notification content may vary depending on each carrier, specifically: "The person you are calling is currently unavailable", "The person you are calling is not currently accepting calls", "The number you are calling is temporarily unavailable".
In case your friends are traveling abroad or the network infrastructure (cell towers) in their area is having problems, you will get the message: “All networks are busy”.
Number of rings
If you only hear one ring or no ring at all before the call goes to voicemail, your phone number is most likely blocked.
In case you hear 3 to 5 rings before the call goes to voicemail, it's possible that you haven't been blocked, but the person is rejecting your calls or ignoring them.
Note that if the person you're calling has Do Not Disturb turned on, your call and everyone else's will quickly go to voicemail. You'll also get the same results if their phone is dead or turned off.
Busy signal or quick disconnect
If you receive a busy signal before the call is disconnected, your number may have been blocked through your mobile service provider.
While there's nothing you can do to remove your number from their or your carrier's block list, you can text them, talk to them directly via Facebook, email... to ask why.
