Land Rover launches the most luxurious and expensive Discovery 2026

The Tempest is described by Land Rover as “the most luxurious, comfortable and highly equipped Discovery ever”. The exterior of the vehicle is impressive with Charente Grey, Carpathian Grey or Varesine Blue paint, combined with a contrasting Petra Copper Gloss roof and exclusive metallic copper accents.

The car is equipped with a set of 22-inch wheels designed specifically, painted in glossy black with a copper-colored Petra Copper coating. In addition, a special welcome light (puddle light) also projects the characteristic circular symbol onto the ground, creating a highlight when opening the door.

The interior space of the car continues to pursue the high-end theme with Ebony Windsor leather seats, Shadow Aluminum panels and many sophisticated details such as door sills engraved with a unique logo and independent rear air conditioning system.

In contrast to the Tempest, the Gemini version is aimed at users who love a dynamic style. The car has up to six color options, notably the exclusive Sedona Red. The contrasting Narvik Gloss black roof, combined with Atlas Gloss decorative details, creates a striking appearance.

The Gemini rides on 21-inch wheels and features hexagonal-patterned headlights instead of the circular ones found on the Tempest. The interior is similar to the Tempest, with features including a 4-zone climate control system, a front cooler, custom trim, and exclusive door sills.

Alongside the two special editions, Land Rover has also announced a number of upgrades to the entry-level S and Dynamic SE models. Although details have yet to be released, the company has confirmed that new 21- and 22-inch wheel options will be added.

In addition, Land Rover introduces three exclusive accessory packages for Discovery: Beach Days Pack: includes roof rack, sunshade and foldable luggage bag, suitable for beach activities and water sports .

Snow Days Pack: aimed at winter sports enthusiasts, equipped with ski mounts, side steps and anti-stain rubber floor mats. Road Trip Pack: ideal for long trips, includes rear entertainment device holder (for tablet/laptop), roof-mounted luggage box and sunshade.

The 2026 Land Rover Discovery starts at $60,200 in the US. The Gemini version is priced at $70,800, while the Tempest version costs up to $83,500, pushing the Discovery line up to the Range Rover Sport segment.

Powering the 2026 Land Rover Discovery are two engine options. The first is a 2.0L turbocharged I4 gasoline engine, with 296 horsepower and 400Nm of torque. The second is a 3.0L turbocharged I6 gasoline engine, with 355 horsepower and 500Nm of torque.
