Since Tan Dan built the "Military-civilian village" model, the landscape, environment, as well as the social order and security situation in the village have been positively improved.

Major General Nguyen Thanh Tinh, Deputy Political Commissar of the 12th Corps, said: With the motto of focusing on the grassroots, in recent years, the Party Committee and Command of the 12th Corps have always paid attention to and led the construction of the "Military-Civilian Village" model to improve the quality of mass mobilization in the new situation. The construction of the "Military-Civilian Village" model is carried out between the intermediate (brigade) level and equivalent to a commune in the stationed area or the area of the unit performing the task.

Implementing the Military-Civilian Village model, the units have coordinated with the locality to develop plans and coordination regulations. During the implementation process, the Party committees of the units and the local Party committees and authorities regularly review and supplement the regulations and plans. In addition, every month the units hold meetings to grasp the local situation, discuss the content of activities, and tasks that need to be done immediately...

Talking about this issue, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hai, Deputy Political Commissar, Brigade 673 (Army Corps 12) discussed: The Brigade coordinated with the Party Committee and the People's Committee of the commune to draft a plan to build a pilot model of "Military-Civilian Village". Together with the locality, promulgate and deploy the implementation of the plan, carry out well the following tasks: Propaganda, education; participate in economic-cultural-social development; carry out national defense and security tasks and build a strong grassroots political system...

Implementing the "Military-civilian village" model, the agencies and units of the 12th Corps always closely follow the base and locality, organize and implement seriously, closely, and according to the plan to implement the "Military-civilian village" model; actively innovate the content and form of activities, have many practical works and tasks such as: Military-civilian fields, military-civilian roads, military-civilian art troupes, military-civilian libraries, military-civilian solidarity houses, military-civilian Zalo groups, military-civilian meetings, self-managed military-civilian groups, legal-psychological counseling groups, military-civilian medical groups, etc.

From 2022 to present, the 12th Corps has deployed and expanded the implementation of 24 "Military-Civilian Village" models. Agencies and units have organized nearly 40,000 officers and soldiers to go on field trips to do mass mobilization work, contributing nearly 1.8 million working days, building 38 model military-civilian routes, repairing thousands of kilometers of rural roads and intra-field canals; successfully building 36 model military-civilian fields, helping people to plant, care for, and harvest crops. Coordinated the construction and handover of 69 great solidarity houses; 8 gratitude houses for policy beneficiaries and poor households with housing difficulties; contributed to stabilizing family life and developing the local economy , culture, and society; visited and presented gifts to policy families, poor households, lonely elderly people, and children in difficult circumstances on the occasion of holidays and Tet.

At the same time, do a good job of propaganda, mobilization, raising awareness for cadres, soldiers and people about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, the traditions of the Army, units and localities; effectively fight and defeat the plots of reactionary hostile forces to divide the great national unity bloc. In particular, on 38 military-civilian routes, units in coordination with localities have installed security camera systems to help units and localities grasp the security and order situation in the area.
